Key Responsibilities Of The Fund Accountant

  • Perform investment accounting for multiple portfolios, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately
  • Prepare and maintain portfolio accounting records, including purchases, sales, income, and valuation activity
  • Reconcile portfolio activity with custodians and internal systems to ensure data accuracy
  • Assist with the preparation of portfolio performance and financial reports for internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and record dividends, interest income, and corporate actions
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes related to investment activity
  • Review portfolio transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Qualifications Of The Fund Accountant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment accounting, portfolio accounting, or financial reporting
  • Understanding of investment transactions, securities, and portfolio reporting
  • Experience working within asset management, investment management, or financial services and utilizing portfolio accounting or investment reporting systems
