Key Responsibilities Of The Fund Accountant
Perform investment accounting for multiple portfolios, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately
Prepare and maintain portfolio accounting records, including purchases, sales, income, and valuation activity
Reconcile portfolio activity with custodians and internal systems to ensure data accuracy
Assist with the preparation of portfolio performance and financial reports for internal stakeholders
Monitor and record dividends, interest income, and corporate actions
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes related to investment activity
Review portfolio transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Qualifications Of The Fund Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.
3+ years of experience in investment accounting, portfolio accounting, or financial reporting
Understanding of investment transactions, securities, and portfolio reporting
Experience working within asset management, investment management, or financial services and utilizing portfolio accounting or investment reporting systems
