Take possession. Execute. Close it out. Transform an empty building into a fully functioning school—on schedule and fully ready—then hand it to the operations team and launch the next one in another city. This is continuous sprint execution, one campus after another. If this pace appeals to you, continue reading.

2 Hour Learning operates schools where students complete their academic work in two hours, then dedicate the remainder of the day to life skills, entrepreneurship, and activities conventional education rarely accommodates. The model delivers outcomes: students ranking in the top 1-2% nationally, progressing at double the standard rate. But none of this functions unless the campus is prepared. You will provide that: fully ready school sites, delivered on schedule and within budget, across an expanding portfolio of micro schools, growth campuses, and flagship vertical campuses in major metropolitan areas.

The timelines are invariably tight. Move from building transfer to opening day in weeks, not months. This requires choreographing vendor activities, monitoring dependencies on a daily basis, and leveraging AI to anticipate every outstanding task before it escalates into a setback. Once a campus launches, you transfer the site to the permanent operations team and proceed to the next buildout.

Begin with micro-campus deployments—the quickest, most replicable initiatives in the portfolio. As the network grows to encompass growth and flagship campuses, both the scale and intricacy of your responsibilities increase accordingly.

When a school opens on schedule and students arrive on Day 1, your contribution is invisible. That represents success. Apply today via our assessment process: a cognitive evaluation followed by a practical work sample.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Overseeing complete buildouts for each assigned campus: coordinating FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) procurement and installation, interior construction, IT infrastructure, signage, and playspace from building transfer through launch day
  • Executing a compressed delivery timeline against a fixed opening date: sequencing vendor activities, managing interdependencies, and compressing schedules wherever the calendar demands
  • Directing and validating vendor performance: issuing scopes of work, overseeing on-site execution, inspecting deliverables against specifications, and formally rejecting substandard work
  • Leveraging AI platforms to produce vendor scopes, create punch lists, monitor outstanding items, and assemble handoff documentation—this role operates too quickly to function otherwise
  • Implementing standardized site deployment protocols, confirming operational readiness upon completion, capturing structured lessons learned, and orchestrating the transition to the ongoing operations team

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Managing ongoing facility operations once a campus is live: you transfer responsibility to the permanent ops team and advance to the next assignment
  • Executing hands-on construction or installation tasks: your role is to direct, verify, and approve—not perform physical trades or technical installation work
  • Handling real estate acquisition, permitting, or certificate of occupancy processes: when the building is transferred to you, those milestones are already complete
  • Operating on a single project at a leisurely tempo: micro-campus deployments progress rapidly, and another is always queued in the pipeline
  • Navigating ambiguous ownership or diffused accountability: each buildout has a single owner responsible from transfer through opening day

Field Operations Specialist Key Responsibilities

Deliver fully operational campuses on time and on budget, from building handoff through opening day.

Basic Requirements

  • At least 2 years in operations, facilities, or project delivery
  • Experience identifying and fixing a broken process, with a measurable result to show for it: cost saved, time cut, or quality improved
  • Experience owning a multi-step project end-to-end, from kickoff through documented completion
  • Demonstrated vendor management skills: hold contractors to quality standards and push back when they miss the mark
  • Experience running 2 or more active projects or sites at the same time without things falling through the cracks
  • Regular use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to work faster and stay organized
  • Based in the US and eligible to work without visa sponsorship
  • Available to travel 60–80% of the time (3–4 days/week)

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • You've been part of a physical buildout or site activation in any industry: retail, restaurants, healthcare, offices, or similar
  • Background in construction project management, tenant improvement, commercial fit-out, or facilities management
  • Any hands-on exposure to FF&E, IT setup, signage, or commercial interior work, even in a coordinator or support role
  • You've used a project tracking tool (Wrike, Notion, Procore, Asana, Monday.com, or similar) to manage tasks or timelines
