  • On-site at an Alpha campus: Atlanta, GA
  • Denver, CO
  • Keller (Fort Worth), TX
  • Oklahoma City, OK
  • Park City (Salt Lake City), UT
  • The Woodlands (Houston), TX
  • Tulsa, OK
  • Toronto, Canada
  • $150,000 annual W2 salary, paid weekly. Health benefits begin day one.
  • Relocation assistance available

The most helpful thing you can do for a student who scored 99% is inform them they fell short. If that statement makes you uncomfortable, this isn't for you. If you're nodding in agreement, read on.

At Alpha, students complete their academic learning in two hours daily using self-directed AI-powered applications. There are no teachers. No lectures. No classroom instruction on subject matter. This structure allows you to focus on what genuinely shifts their trajectory: facilitating high-impact workshops on communication, concentration, and feedback; driving students toward every learning target using live analytics; and mentoring the Guides who support you.

Your day might begin with a coaching conversation with a Guide, examining performance metrics and pinpointing where a group is struggling. By midday you're facilitating a live session with students, executing a structured activity on feedback exchange. Afternoons are dedicated to motivation work: meeting with individual students, discovering their drivers, and applying Alpha's incentive framework to reengage a reluctant 7th grader. You manage your own cohort directly, ensuring you maintain proficiency in the same capabilities you're developing in others.

You've likely been the outlier in education: overly analytical, excessively outcome-oriented, too comfortable questioning conventional approaches to student development. Alpha may be the first environment where you truly belong. You'll begin coaching Guides immediately, and as your results scale, your impact on campus-wide program excellence expands.

Uphold the standard. Transform the student. Apply today.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops on essential skills (communication, concentration, feedback exchange) for K-8 (elementary and middle school) groups, executing Alpha's structured playbook rather than creating content independently
  • Conducting motivation sessions leveraging student data and Alpha's incentive framework (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
  • Mentoring Guides on program adherence and standards enforcement, ensuring every coaching interaction yields concrete improvement steps
  • Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides
  • Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance data weekly to identify underperformance early

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring to students. Students complete academics through self-directed applications without adult supervision.
  • Creating curriculum or developing lesson plans independently. The playbook is established; success depends on execution fidelity, not creative deviation.
  • Coaching Guides on instructional methods. Guides don't instruct, so your coaching focuses on energy, motivation, and accountability.
  • Accepting 99% when the standard is 100%. Maintaining expectations demonstrates your confidence in their capability.
  • Serving as the "empathy sponge" common to most schools. Students receive connection here, alongside honest feedback and meaningful consequences.

Educational Consultant Key Responsibilities

Fulfill Alpha's three commitments to every student in your cohort: they love attending school, learn at twice the pace of traditional classrooms, and acquire genuine life skills.

Basic Requirements

  • Willing to work on-campus in Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Park City (Salt Lake City), UT; The Woodlands (Houston), TX; Tulsa, OK; or Toronto, Canada (relocation assistance provided)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a comparable field
  • Track record of leading a team of 5 or more adults, including hiring and making performance-based termination decisions
  • Direct experience working with kids aged 5-14 in an educational or developmental setting
  • Built, launched, or significantly grew a program, team, business, school, or initiative from the ground up
  • Proven use of data and metrics to set weekly goals and drive decisions, not just report results
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
  • Coached athletics, led wilderness or experiential programs, directed camps, or ran youth ministry at a scale that required running cohorts and measuring outcomes
  • Left classroom teaching to build or run programs from a different seat: EdTech, tutoring businesses, youth nonprofits, or school intervention teams
  • Early-career track record of high personal performance — academic, athletic, or professional — before moving into leadership
  • Belief that the current education system is broken and personal investment in rebuilding it
