LOT Polish Airlines is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Director of Agency Sales in the USA & Canada. This senior‑level role is ideal for a strong commercial leader with deep aviation or travel industry expertise and a proven track record in team management and market development.


About the Role:

As the Country Manager, you will oversee LOT’s commercial performance across the USA and Canadian markets. You will be responsible for shaping and executing regional strategy, leading a multi‑market team, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with key business partners. You will directly represent LOT in front of corporate clients, travel agencies, institutions, and industry organizations.


Key Responsibilities (high-level):

  • Lead and develop the commercial strategy for the USA & Canada to meet revenue and market objectives.
  • Manage, coach, and support the regional team to ensure strong performance and effective operations.
  • Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with corporate clients, travel agents, institutions, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent LOT at meetings, events, and trade fairs, enhancing the company’s presence in both markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand LOT’s footprint across key customer segments.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends; recommend initiatives to strengthen LOT’s position.
  • Cooperate closely with Polish headquarter’s teams (Sales, Revenue Management, Pricing, Marketing, PR, Network, and others).
  • Oversee sales‑related budgets and ensure cost‑efficient planning and execution.
  • Provide regular reporting, market insights, and performance analyses to HQ.
  • Support compliance with local regulations and internal company standards.
  • Undertake additional tasks and strategic initiatives assigned by Headquarters.


Requirements:

A commercially minded, relationship‑oriented leader with strong market understanding, excellent team management skills, and a high level of analytical capability:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an airline, preferably commercial role in passenger traffic segment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team, including responsibility for business performance.
  • Strong market knowledge of North America, including B2B sales and distribution channels
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across international teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to Poland (minimum once per quarter) and regular duty travels within the USA and Canada.
  • Based in Chicago Area or New York Area.
  • Polish language proficiency is a plus, but not essential for this role.
  • As part of the recruitment process, candidates must successfully complete both an SHL assessment and an Excel proficiency test.
