Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate with strong working knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks while driving data classification, DLP controls, and continuous improvement of enterprise data security posture.
Rate Range: $30/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour

Requirements

Developer Job Responsibilities Include
- Assess, monitor, and continuously improve the organization’s Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) across structured and unstructured data environments.
- Identify, classify, and manage sensitive data throughout its lifecycle using DLP and data classification tools and best practices.
- Support implementation and alignment of data security controls with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
- Partner with cybersecurity, GRC, and data governance teams to identify information risk and recommend remediation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments, posture reviews, and gap analyses to strengthen data protection and compliance objectives.
- Drive data security awareness and process improvements in a dynamic, evolving security environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline, preferably with focus or exposure to Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Data Governance.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data security, or information risk management roles (6–8 years preferred).
- Proven hands‑on experience with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), including data discovery, classification, DLP, and data lifecycle management concepts.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity and GRC frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, with the ability to assess risk, ensure compliance, and recommend security improvements.
