  • In-person role at Alpha campuses: Denver, CO | Atlanta, GA | Oklahoma City, OK | Nashville, TN | Fort Worth, TX | Houston, TX (Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands) | Park City, UT (relocation assistance available)
  • $100,000 annual salary, distributed weekly. Full health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one

The kindest thing you can do for a student who reached 99% of their goal is refuse to accept it as complete. If that expectation feels uncomfortable, this position is not the right fit. If it energizes you because you understand that maintaining high standards demonstrates your belief in a student's capability, continue reading.

Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete a full academic day in approximately two hours using adaptive software. No traditional lectures. No physical textbooks. Your role covers what technology cannot: developing life skills in K-8 students—public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange. You will spend half your time facilitating hands-on workshops guided by structured playbooks and narrative techniques. The remaining half involves working with students individually or in small groups, analyzing their adaptive learning progress via Coachbot analytics, and driving them toward 100% completion of weekly targets. Mastery is demonstrated through Test2Pass assessments, not participation metrics.

During your first year, you will manage a student cohort and become proficient in Alpha's methodology: life skill workshops, motivation coaching, mastery-based evaluation. Once you demonstrate the ability to hold every student accountable to 100% goal completion while maintaining satisfaction scores above 90%, advancement to Lead Guide becomes possible—where you mentor fellow Guides while remaining engaged with students directly. Top performers in this position do more than impact individual students; they influence campus-wide culture and operations.

If you have years of experience coaching, counseling, or mentoring young people and have wished to eliminate traditional instruction and concentrate on genuine development, this opportunity is designed for you.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops for K-8 students focused on public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and feedback exchange (project-based and hands-on)
  • Conducting daily individual and small-group motivation sessions to review student progress in adaptive learning platforms (via Coachbot analytics), establish goals, and drive students toward 100% weekly completion
  • Delivering and assessing Test2Pass evaluations to verify genuine mastery of life skills, not merely attendance
  • Adjusting your coaching approach across diverse age groups, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability
  • Cultivating authentic connections with each student so they trust your guidance through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lectures or traditional academic instruction (core academic subjects are learned through adaptive applications, not direct instruction from you)
  • Creating lesson plans or original curriculum (Alpha supplies life skills playbooks; your responsibility is to execute them with energy and narrative engagement)
  • Handling parent communications or administrative duties (Campus Leads manage those areas; you remain focused on students)
  • Evaluating homework or preparing students for standardized tests (these elements do not exist in this model)
  • Operating independently (you function within a campus team alongside Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues who exchange feedback and maintain mutual accountability)

Consultant Key Responsibilities

Guarantee that every student in your cohort enjoys school, achieves mastery of critical life skills, and reaches 100% of their academic targets through adaptive learning technology.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience with K-8 students (teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management)
  • Demonstrated experience motivating or coaching K-8 students toward academic, behavioral, or extracurricular objectives, with at least one concrete example you can articulate (the objective, your specific actions, and the result)
  • Daily engagement with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
  • Ability to work in-person at an Alpha campus located in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Nashville, TN; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX (Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands); or Park City, UT (relocation assistance provided)
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth sports coaching, camp leadership, or after-school programs where you held direct responsibility for motivating children toward specific objectives
  • History of significant personal accomplishment (academic distinctions, competitive sports, or leadership positions requiring sustained high performance)
  • Innate storytelling capability: you can maintain the attention of a room full of 12-year-olds for an hour without elevating your voice
  • Proven ability to motivate disengaged or reluctant students and convert them into engaged contributors
