A leading engineering, design, and construction firm in Kansas City is seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter to support its growing electrical design team. This role is essential in producing high‑quality electrical engineering and construction documents for complex, mission‑critical projects, including airports, federal buildings, and secure facilities.


Must‑Have Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in design/drafting
  • 2+ years of design experience using Revit


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior electrical design or drafting experience
  • Experience supporting facilities projects within the federal sector


Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

The Electrical CAD Drafter will collaborate closely with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate, detailed construction documentation. Responsibilities include:

  • Create and revise electrical construction drawings using Revit.
  • Support electrical engineers on aviation and federal facility projects
  • Prepare drawing packages, including: Floor plans, Panel schedules, One‑line diagrams, Equipment layouts, Grounding and lighting systems, Conduit and feeder routing, Low‑voltage and power systems.
  • Incorporate redlines and quality‑control feedback efficiently
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, civil, and other disciplines to ensure consistency
  • Maintain organized drawing sets and adhere to established CAD standards
  • Assist with document control and milestone submittals


Compensation:

$23.00/hr to $27.00/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
