Job Description

Title: Chief Marketing Officer

Reporting to: President


Overview of Role

The Chief Marketing Officer is a senior role accountable for defining and leading RLB’s company-wide marketing strategy, strengthening brand equity, deepening customer relationships, and accelerating revenue growth through integrated, data driven marketing efforts. This role is a strategic leader who combines creativity, analytical insight, and leadership to drive band growth, client engagement, and revenue. They will serve as the primary contact for marketing strategy, ensuring the organization remains competitive and responsive to evolving market demands.

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals.

• Ensure marketing initiatives directly support revenue growth, brand positioning, and long-term market competitiveness.

• Collaborate with executive leadership team to align marketing with sales, product development, and customer experience strategies.


Brand and Customer Management

• Lead brand development, positioning, and stewardship to ensure a strong and differentiated market presence.

• Oversee customer engagement strategies to deepen relationships and improve loyalty across all touchpoints.

• Ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across digital, social media, traditional advertising, and influencer marketing channels.


Marketing Operations

• Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across channels.

• Manage market research, pricing strategies, advertising contracts, and promotional activities such as contests or giveaways.

• Monitor marketing performance, analyze data and KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to improve effectiveness and ROI.


Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing marketing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

• Ensure the marketing organization consistently delivers high-quality work that aligns with strategic priorities and organizational objectives.


Digital and Analytical Expertise

• Balance creative storytelling with analytical rigor to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion.

• Leverage digital marketing tools and technologies, including SEO/SEM, AI-driven personalization, marketing automation, and growth marketing strategies.

• Champion data-driven marketing practices to improve targeting, personalization, and performance measurement.


Market Research and Innovation

• Conduct and oversee market research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and preferences.

• Identify target audiences, monitor competitive activity, and anticipate emerging market trends.

• Innovate marketing approaches and test new ideas to maintain and strengthen competitive advantage.


Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related technical field, or relevant experience.

• 10+ years of proven experience in senior marketing leadership and brand strategy roles and AEC experience.

• Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels, proficient in Microsoft Office and doble Creative Suites and best practices.

• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management capabilities.

• Strong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and align marketing strategies with broader business objectives.


Travel Requirements

This position may require some travel to RLB offices across North America, with potential for occasional international travel. Travel may include overnight stays and extended trips, depending on the needs of the organization. Flexibility and the ability to travel on short notice may be needed.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Often work in an Indoor office environment. Equipment used includes computers and standard office machines. Essential physical tasks include: the ability to work on a computer and the ability to answer and speak on a telephone.

• May also require:

- Sitting

- Standing for long periods of time

- Walking, carrying, pushing, stooping, crouching, and pulling
