Alpha operates the most unconventional educational model you will encounter. Students do not occupy rows while being lectured. They progress through AI-driven learning applications at individualized paces. AI manages the instructional material. Your responsibility is conducting life skills workshops that command the attention of K-8 students, facilitating motivation sessions that drive them toward weekly learning targets, and maintaining standards when a student attempts to disengage. Academic progression is automated. You manage the human dimension.
This position offers a meaningful advancement trajectory, and that trajectory leads to greater student impact. Guides who consistently achieve performance benchmarks (100% cohort attainment of weekly app goals, 90%+ satisfaction ratings) advance into Lead Guide positions where they mentor other educators in refining this work. Students remain the central focus.

What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops with K-8 students addressing public speaking, focus, and feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have authentically acquired the skill, not merely attended the session
- Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, individual interests, and Coachbot analytics to achieve 100% cohort completion of weekly app advancement targets
- Employing storytelling techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual rapport to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction ratings toward a 90%+ benchmark on student surveys
- Presenting lectures at a whiteboard. Students progress academically via self-directed AI-powered applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising passively. The environment involves students using computers; the role demands active engagement.
- Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass requirements remain consistent, regardless of individual student circumstances during any given week.
- Designing curriculum independently. Lesson frameworks and workshop guides are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the presence and narrative skill that ensures genuine student comprehension.
- Handling parent communications, conducting admissions processes, or overseeing campus logistics. Those functions belong to separate roles.
Guide a cohort of K-8 students to achieve 100% completion of their weekly academic targets while facilitating life skills workshops that maintain 90%+ satisfaction ratings.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation presence — capable of maintaining children's engagement throughout a one-hour session
- Availability to work on-site at the Alpha campus in Brownsville, TX
- Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program facilitator
- Demonstrated history of high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
- Familiarity working within a self-directed or app-based learning environment

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
