The Opportunity: 100% Remote

While the firm boasts a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, this position offers the ultimate flexibility. You can work 100% remotely from the following states: New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Delaware.

Key Responsibilities

As a Billing Specialist, you won't just push paper—you will be the financial backbone of the attorney-client relationship, ensuring seamless, accurate, and efficient billing cycles.

• Oversee the full billing process, from posting time and preparing files to generating pre-bills and processing final invoices.
• Set up new files, submit invoices, and navigate complex electronic billing sites. You will expertly edit text files, manage budgets, add timekeepers, and troubleshoot submission errors to ensure swift payment.
• Partner directly with attorneys to edit time, implement specific client guidelines, and maintain highly accurate client matter information within the finance system.
• Creatively manage and maintain complex billing rate structures.

Qualifications

We are looking for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves taking ownership of their work.

• 3 to 5 years of dedicated legal billing experience (law firm setting highly preferred).
• Deep familiarity with electronic billing sites (e.g., Serengeti/Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, Collaborati, Legal Exchange, Legal X/Allegient, LSS, etc.) is required.
• Experience with Aderant is a major plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of stellar experience and education will absolutely be considered.
• Elite attention to detail, laser-focused organizational skills, and the ability to juggle competing priorities to hit strict deadlines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with high-level attorneys and corporate clients.
