Robert Half’s Full-Time Engagement Professionals (F-TEP) Practice is expanding, and we’re looking for Accounting Specialists to join our team. This is our premier “loan staff” division, where you are a full-time Robert Half employee and support clients on key accounting projects and initiatives.
About the Role
As an Accounting Specialist (AP/AR focus), you’ll support a variety of client engagements ranging from day-to-day transactional accounting to process improvements. This role offers consistent exposure to new environments while providing the stability of a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
- Invoice management, coding, and payment processing
- Cash applications, billing, and collections follow-up
- Reconciliation of AP/AR subledgers to the general ledger
- Resolving discrepancies and vendor/customer inquiries
- Assisting with month-end close activities related to AP/AR
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Supporting audit requests and reporting needs
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in AP, AR, or transactional accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc. a plus)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred, not required)
- Experience working in fast-paced or project-based environments
