Our company is seeking a skilled Full-Time Engagement Professional (FTEP) with specialization in accounting support, focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes. This is a full-time, onsite position in northwest Houston dedicated to providing our clients with consistent, high-quality accounting expertise for long-term projects or extended vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile financial statements, accounts, and bank statements to ensure accuracy of records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in AP/AR and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with clients' accounting teams to improve efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
  • Utilize accounting software and enterprise systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle NetSuite) for transaction processing and reporting. Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Provide regular status updates and proactively communicate with clients on accounting matters.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate accounting procedures and workflow.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
