We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our company’s general ledger (GL) activities and lead the month-end close process. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while providing data-driven insights to inform key business decisions. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency with major ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday, and has a strong background in data visualization and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial results.
- Manage and maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS as applicable).
- Develop, coordinate, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and management commentary.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure consistency in reporting.
- Utilize data visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) to present actionable insights for leadership.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit processes as needed.
- Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong understanding of month-end close, GL accounting, and financial statement preparation.
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency with one or more ERP systems: Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday (highly preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
