Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven Account Executive - Business & Corporate Development to join Bloom Energy’s Business Development organization. This role will work closely with the Head of Business & Corporate Development and other senior leadership to drive Bloom’s commercial partnerships and strategic growth initiatives across the energy, oil & gas, power, utility, infrastructure, industrial, data center, and broader energy transition ecosystems.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role focused initially on developing and executing strategic commercial partnerships across the energy, oil & gas and utility/power sectors, while also helping evaluate adjacent technology opportunities, strategic investments, supply chain integration opportunities, and potential acquisitions over time.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial and strategic acumen with deep energy sector expertise, relationship management capability, and the ability to operate effectively across executive, commercial, technical, and operational teams. The role is well-suited for a top-tier investment banker, corporate development professional, management consultant, or strategic operator with significant exposure to the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships & Commercial Development


  • Support the development and execution of strategic commercial partnerships across oil & gas, utilities, IPPs, infrastructure investors, industrial companies, data center developers/operators, and broader energy transition sectors.
  • Help identify, prioritize, and engage strategic counterparties aligned with Bloom Energy’s long-term growth objectives.
  • Work closely with senior executives at customers, partners, infrastructure funds, utilities, and technology providers to structure and advance commercial opportunities.
  • Assist in developing repeatable go-to-market strategies and partnership frameworks across targeted verticals.
  • Support commercial engagement efforts tied to Bloom Energy’s distributed generation, resiliency, decarbonization, and power infrastructure solutions.


Corporate Development & Strategic Analysis


  • Evaluate adjacent technologies, supply chain integration opportunities, strategic investments, joint ventures, and potential acquisition targets.
  • Conduct market mapping, competitive analysis, valuation work, financial modeling, and strategic assessments to support executive decision-making.
  • Support diligence processes and coordination across legal, finance, engineering, manufacturing, and product organizations for strategic transactions.
  • Assist in preparing Board-level, executive committee, and investor materials related to strategic initiatives.


Commercial Structuring & Deal Execution


  • Support structuring and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, partnership frameworks, and strategic transactions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal workstreams to advance opportunities from origination through execution.
  • Develop business cases, financial analyses, ROI frameworks, and partnership economics to support investment and commercial decisions.
  • Help manage external advisors, counterparties, and diligence processes where applicable.


Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning


  • Monitor key trends across energy and power markets, distributed generation, utilities, AI/data center infrastructure, hydrogen, carbon reduction, grid reliability, industrial decarbonization, and energy transition technologies.
  • Identify emerging strategic themes and opportunities relevant to Bloom Energy’s long-term positioning.
  • Represent Bloom Energy at industry conferences, strategic meetings, and customer engagements.


Qualifications

Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, strategic consulting, infrastructure investing, or strategic business development within the energy, power, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas, energy infrastructure, utilities, distributed generation, power markets, energy transition technologies, and/or industrial systems.
  • Experience evaluating complex strategic transactions, partnerships, acquisitions, financings, or large-scale commercial opportunities.
  • Prior experience in energy investment banking, infrastructure advisory, or corporate strategy strongly preferred.


Technical & Analytical Skills


  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, strategic analysis, and presentation capabilities.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to evaluate both strategic fit and financial impact.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical, operational, and financial information into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.


Leadership & Interpersonal Skills


  • Executive presence with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in highly cross-functional and entrepreneurial environments.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • High degree of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and ownership mentality.
  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Energy or power investment banking

  • Utility strategy or strategic partnerships
  • Technical engineering background combined with commercial/financial experience


Salary Ranges:

$149,200.00 - $214,800.00
