Job Description

Traditional high schools track student success using grades and standardized test scores. At Founders School, success is measured differently: by companies students launch, real-world problems they solve, and achievements most adults would view as unattainable.

We seek someone capable of motivating, challenging, and cultivating ambitious teenage entrepreneurs as they construct functioning businesses, become proficient in AI, and tackle ambitions typically reserved for adults.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Propel daily execution and forward momentum within your assigned student group using standups, coaching conversations, and accountability frameworks.
  • Lead weekly individual coaching sessions alongside daily touchpoints that support students in navigating challenges and sustaining forward progress.
  • Track student output in FounderOS, detect early signs of stagnation, and arrange necessary support resources when required.
  • Facilitate introductions between students and mentors, entrepreneurs, operators, and prospects that catalyze their development.
  • Organize workshops, programming, and community-building activities that deepen culture and elevate performance expectations.
  • Demonstrate hands-on AI application and support students in integrating AI into their ventures, operational workflows, and strategic thinking.
  • Accompany students on 3-4 school trips annually.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering comprehensive strategic business consulting for student ventures. That domain belongs to FounderOS, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, and external mentors.
  • Tolerating performance beneath a student's proven capabilities.
  • Instructing in traditional academic disciplines. The curriculum platform and academic faculty handle that domain.
  • Leading workshops beyond your demonstrated expertise.
  • Offering generic resources or connections that fail to satisfy Founders School quality standards.

Accelerator Program Manager Key Responsibilities

Establish the culture, accountability structures, and support mechanisms that empower determined student founders to execute reliably, apply AI with proficiency, and produce results that surpass the possibilities of conventional education.

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years in leadership positions or high-impact contributor roles at startups, growth-phase organizations, or equivalently rigorous settings.
  • Capability to participate meaningfully in entrepreneurial dialogues and recognize when specialized expertise should be engaged.
  • A unique competency beyond coaching: workshop design, event orchestration, content development, community cultivation, network expansion, or another comparably valuable skill.
  • Capacity to capture and hold the focus of driven teenagers and build an environment they actively choose to join.
  • Skill in communicating challenging feedback that elevates both drive and outcomes.
  • Routine application of AI tools supported by concrete examples demonstrating how AI enhances your output.
  • Readiness to work on-site in New York City (relocation assistance available).
  • Legal authorization for employment in the United States.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Launched or co-launched a business venture.
  • Background in coaching, mentoring, or directing programs for adolescents or emerging adults.
  • Established network spanning founders, operators, investors, or mentors.
  • Early-stage startup background involving multiple responsibilities and building foundational systems.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
