About Position:

The Compute On‑Premises Engineer is responsible for designing, building, operating, and optimizing Windows‑based compute environments across on‑premises datacenters, server rooms, and AWS cloud infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of Windows servers supporting enterprise business applications in a hybrid environment

What You'll Do:

• Build, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) across on‑prem and AWS platforms.
• Perform day‑to‑day server operations including health monitoring, patching, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
• Support Active Directory‑integrated services such as DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and domain‑joined systems.
• Ensure high availability through clustering, redundancy, and failover mechanisms.
• Collaborate with network, storage, security, cloud, and application teams to support reliable compute services

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Manage physical and virtual servers across enterprise datacenters and remote server rooms.
• Coordinate server provisioning, rack and stack, decommissioning, and hardware lifecycle activities.
• Work with facilities teams on power, cooling, and physical access requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for assets, capacity, and configurations.
• Administer VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V environments.
• Manage VM lifecycle activities including provisioning, resizing, snapshot management, and resource optimization.
• Perform capacity planning and resolve host or VM‑level performance issues
• Deploy and manage Windows EC2 instances across AWS accounts and regions.
• Perform OS‑level hardening, patching, and performance monitoring for AWS workloads.
• Support hybrid connectivity and Active Directory integration with cloud workloads.
