Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Responsible for integrated testing of HVDC C&P software and hardware test process, including Functional Performance Testing (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Testing (DPT).
- Read, understand, and follow provided test definitions and descriptions.
- Execute test cases related to grid, station, and pole-level control functions as per the established test descriptions for HVDC converter substations.
- Understand Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS), and the basics of power systems and power electronics components of HVDC substation.
- Evaluate test results against established Test Acceptance Criteria.
- Analyze Sequence of Event Records (SER) and Transient fault Record (TFR).
- Review / Debug test result screenshots, plots, reports, and supporting documents.
- Prepare and submit test reports in the required format / template.
- Support in creating documents like Test matrices, Test plans, Operator Manual, etc
Work Experience
Qualification, Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree (M.E or M.Tech) in Power Systems or Power Electronics, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with at least 4+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of power system modeling, network architecture, electrical equipment hardware, software engineering and testing.
- Familiarity with HVDC control and protection systems.
- Ability to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) to customers.
- Basic understanding of the SIPROTEC product family, Beckhoff, SIL, HIL, GIT version control, HMI tools, RTDS, MATLAB Simulink and IEC 61850 is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Visio tools
