Key Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation strategies and frameworks for Web and Mobile applications (Android iOS).

• Build automation frameworks from scratch with strong focus on modularity, reusability, maintainability, and performance.

• Identify suitable test cases for automation based on functional, regression, and integration requirements.

• Develop automated test suites using tools such as Selenium (Java), Robot Framework, Cypress, Appium, Postman, and Rest Assured.

• Implement parallel execution strategies to optimize automation run time.

• Execute automation on cloud-based device farms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or pCloudy.

• Integrate automation pipelines into CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitLab, and related DevOps tooling.

• Collaborate closely with QA teams, developers, and product stakeholders to ensure quality across releases.

• Develop and execute mobile automation suites for both Android and iOS platforms.

• Create, enhance, debug, and execute automated test cases and regression suites.

• Participate actively in defect management logging, tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution verification.

• Evaluate and recommend automation tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies including AI-powered test automation platforms.

• Apply AI/ML-based testing tools for intelligent test creation, self-healing scripts, visual testing, and predictive defect analysis.

• Support performance and load testing activities using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, curl-loader (good to have).

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on automation best practices.

• Resolve automation-related technical challenges and continuously improve test coverage.

• Interact with customers/clients when required to troubleshoot quality issues and provide updates.

• Stay current with industry trends in QA automation, DevOps, and AI-assisted testing.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) or MCA.

• 4 8 years of experience in Test Automation.

• Strong proficiency in Java or Python.

• Solid hands-on experience with at least one automation framework:

• Selenium (Java)

• Robot Framework with Selenium WebDriver

• Cypress

• CodeceptJS

• Appium

• Postman Rest Assured

• Strong expertise in Web and Mobile automation (Android/iOS).

• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

• Experience with cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or pCloudy.

• Exposure to parallel test execution strategies.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Jira, and X-Ray.

• Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Strong working knowledge of Linux environments and SQL databases (Oracle/MySQL).

• Experience integrating automation into DevOps pipelines.

• Exposure to AI/ML-based testing tools (self-healing automation, AI test generation, intelligent reporting).

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

• Good understanding of protocol and packet analysis tools (TCPDUMP, Ethereal/Wireshark good to have).

Desirable Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Familiarity with debugging tools like Fiddler, Valgrind, and Helgrind.

• Experience with AI-powered automation platforms for test creation, maintenance, and analytics.

• Knowledge of modern testing trends such as visual AI testing, autonomous regression, and predictive quality engineering.
