Role Summary
The Technical Lead Cloud & Network Security will be responsible for leading L2 operations across cloud infrastructure, enterprise network security, and compliance remediation activities. The role includes technical ownership of incidents, coordination with engineering teams, and managing remediation of infrastructure-related GRC audit observations to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to L1/L2 support engineers for cloud and network security operations.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Review and approve technical changes, firewall rules, and infrastructure configurations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure stability and security posture.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Oversee L2 support operations for cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud networking, IAM policies, security groups, and access controls.
- Lead cloud security remediation and configuration improvements.
- Coordinate with L3 / architecture teams for design improvements and complex troubleshooting.
Network Security Operations
- Lead operational support for enterprise network security infrastructure including:
- Firewalls
- VPN gateways
- IDS/IPS systems
- Load balancers
- Review and manage firewall rule changes, network segmentation, and secure connectivity.
- Ensure high availability and security of network infrastructure.
Technical GRC & Audit Remediation
- Act as the technical lead for infrastructure-related audit observations and compliance remediation.
- Coordinate with security, compliance, and audit teams to resolve findings.
- Manage remediation tasks related to frameworks such as:
- ISO 27001
- SOC 2
- PCI DSS
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations with proper technical evidence and documentation.
Incident & Problem Management
- Lead major incident troubleshooting and resolution within SLA.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive preventive actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for critical issue resolution.
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking in ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Jira).
Security & Compliance Operations
- Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review security alerts, access controls, and configuration baselines.

- ITSM tools (ServiceNow / Jira)
- Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Datadog, Nagios)
- Vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus)
Preferred Certifications
- Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- CompTIA Security+
- Network certifications (CCNA / CCNP)
