In India, CCL has a Global Capability Centre, a team which hosts global talent for teams across our orgs and locations. India HQ for CCL is in Delhi NCR (Gurgaon).

The Team Leader - Finance Operations is a critical leadership role within CCL’s Global Capability Center (GCC). This position is designed for a transformation-minded finance professional who can bridge the gap between global strategic goals and local operational excellence.

As the "architect" of our finance transition, you will lead the migration of global accounting functions to the Gurgaon campus. You will start by stabilizing and scaling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, followed by standardizing disparate regional tasks into streamlined, world-class processes. This role requires a blend of people leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a drive for digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Transition & Process Transformation

  • Migration Management: Partner with Global Finance owners to seamlessly transition identified accounting processes from various regions to the GCC, ensuring zero business disruption.
  • Process Re-engineering: Audit "As-Is" workflows to identify inefficiencies and design "To-Be" digital, AI Ready workflows.
  • Digital Innovation: Implement and manage future proof processes incorporating latest technologies including AI where appropriate to drive automation.
  • SOP Governance: Own the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and build robust reporting capabilities to track bar raising operational excellence.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Team Building: Manage the full talent lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, and continuous technical training of accounting associates.
  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor individual and team KPIs to ensure deliverables meet global quality and timeline benchmarks.
  • Mentorship: Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning within the Gurgaon finance team.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

  • Accounts Payable: Supervise data entry/repair for PO and Non-PO invoices, vendor setup/maintenance, and resolution of complex vendor queries.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee billing, collections, cash allocations, and intercompany processes.
  • Financial Integrity: Manage monthly account reconciliations and provide support for regular audits across various global entities.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all localized tasks maintain compliance with regional regulatory standards while adhering to global policies. 

III. Candidate Profile: Qualifications & Experience

Professional Foundation

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, or Finance.
  • Experience: 6-10 years of progressive experience in finance operations, with a mandatory 3-5 years in a people management role in a multinational organisation.
  • Industry Context: Proven track record in a Global Capability Center (GCC) or Shared Service environment. Experience in the consulting or global organisations is highly preferred.

Technical Expertise

  • Accounting Standards: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP. Experience with Middle East accounting standards is considered a significant asset.
  • Systems Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills and Data analytics skills are essential. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) F&O or SAP is highly preferred.
  • Internal Controls: A solid understanding of internal control frameworks and global audit requirements.

 Leadership & Strategic Mindset

  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage expectations with international stakeholders and regional Controllers in a matrixed environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
  • Change Management: Comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a startup-style GCC environment and transitioning processes across different time zones and cultures.
