Within the Digital Technology Practice at GECIA (Global Engineering Centre, India), part of Atlas Copco, you will contribute significantly to our mission by developing global talent, expanding our technological portfolio, and driving innovation to achieve operational excellence that ensures customer success.
As a Senior Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems Hardware, your primary mission is to leverage your strong knowledge and adaptability in electronics and instrumentation to develop cutting-edge applications. You will be instrumental in designing and enhancing our advanced control systems and next-generation controller platforms.
Together with your team, you will engage in the end-to-end hardware design process encompassing component selection, schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, and validation. You will ensure that designs comply with industry and environmental standards such as REACH and RoHS, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and quality.
This role calls for a passionate engineer with a strong focus on embedded systems hardware and control system development, ready to contribute their expertise to critical projects within a globally respected industrial company.
To succeed, you will need
- A degree in Industrial Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or a related engineering discipline with at least 8 years of industrial experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of microprocessor architectures, FPGA designs, memory circuits, and power supply design principles.
- Proven experience in analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuit design.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools, signal integrity concepts, and adherence to EMI/EMC standards.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing integrated microcontroller unit (MCU) peripheral circuits and turn-key power supply electronics including high-efficiency AC/DC and DC/DC converters.
- Deep understanding of pulse-width modulation (PWM) techniques and motor drive circuitry.
- Expertise in isolation standards and methods along with experience selecting and specifying power components such as discrete PWM controllers, PMMIC, high and low side drivers, IGBTs, MOSFETs, SCRs, diodes, capacitors, and inductors.
- Japanese language proficiency will be considered a valuable asset.
