About The Opportunity
Join a motivated infrastructure and database team delivering a best-in-class platform for customer application workloads. You will support mission-critical systems across our telecom environment, working with the Infra Cloud and DBA team on an end-to-end BOSS-centric project. This role focuses on reliable, high-performance database platforms and offers strong learning and growth opportunities in a collaborative, innovative setting.
What You Will Do
- Design, deploy and maintain PostgreSQL/EDB and Oracle database environments to meet availability and performance targets.
- Configure and manage high-availability and connection pooling solutions (for example, pgbouncer and other HA tools) and Oracle RAC/Data Guard setups.
- Monitor, tune and optimize database performance for efficient storage and fast queries.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery and security practices to protect data integrity.
- Support capacity planning, performance tuning and platform scaling decisions.
- Troubleshoot incidents and resolve database issues in collaboration with cloud, infrastructure and development teams.
- Communicate status, risks and improvement plans to stakeholders and contribute to architecture and operational best practices.
You will bring
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/EDB, including high-availability and connection pooling tools.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database 19c, including RAC and Data Guard.
- Clear communicator who can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of independently solving problems and working within teams.
- Willingness to support global operations across time zones as required.
- Experience or familiarity with telecom industry database requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or other replication/integration tools.
- Exposure to a NoSQL database such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Basic familiarity with cloud and container architectures.
