Landmark, a Halliburton company, builds the software and data platforms that help the global energy industry make better decisions. Our products span subsurface interpretation, well construction planning, reservoir simulation, production optimization, and data management. These are tools used daily by engineers and scientists at the world's largest energy companies. We are hiring Senior Software Engineering Managers across multiple product domains to match the scale and ambition of our engineering organization.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Landmark, you will lead a major engineering function within one of several product domains: subsurface (geophysics and geoscience software), drilling software, reservoir modeling, production optimization, or data platforms. The specific domain will depend on your background and on organizational need, but the engineering challenges are shared across all of them.
Landmark's product portfolio carries decades of accumulated science and engineering value. Much of the current work involves refactoring large, mature codebases at scale: decoupling the science, the business logic, the data layers, and the UI so that each can evolve independently. Several products are moving to new platforms entirely. You will lead teams through these transitions while continuing to deliver value to customers who depend on the software today. The balance between modernization and continued delivery, between architectural discipline and the pressure to ship, is the defining challenge of the role.
You will manage Engineering Managers or senior individual contributors, and you will develop them with the same intentionality you expect them to bring to their own teams. This is not a role where you manage from a distance. You earn trust by walking into the technical details when it matters, whether that means reviewing an architectural proposal, working through the tradeoffs in a migration sequence, or helping a team resolve a difficult dependency. You pair that technical depth with the organizational skill to run a disciplined engineering operation: clear standards, consistent practices, and teams that understand not just what they are building but why.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if your experience does not match every item in the preferred list.
Why Landmark
Landmark is growing its engineering leadership team across the product portfolio. The people we hire into these roles will own a meaningful slice of the product and the teams that build it. You will have real scope, peers who are invested in your growth, and the latitude to build organizational practices that last.
We build small, high-ownership teams and invest in the quality of every person on them. Engineers here co-author the product direction alongside product management and domain science: the art of the possible is an engineering contribution, not a function that sits upstream. The experiences we design ensure that customers remain in control of the decisions that matter, never passengers in their own workflows.
We offer:We invest in our employees through competitive compensation plans, health benefits, work-life programs, and reward and incentive plans. We have the right people to develop the right technologies and bring innovative solutions to the industry – and we value those people as an unmatched competitive advantage.
