Role & responsibilities
Business-Centric Testing
- Validate digital journeys (web/mobile) from a business and customer usability perspective
- Ensure solutions are practical, intuitive, and aligned with real-world scenarios
- Challenge requirements where needed to improve customer experience and business outcomes
Functional & Journey Testing
- Perform end-to-end testing of digital systems
- Ensure correctness of:
- Pricing / premium logic
- Product configurations
- Policy issuance workflows
- Conduct regression, sanity, and UAT support
BRD vs Real Use Case Validation
- Validate not just "what is written in BRD" but:
- Whether flows actually work in real-life scenarios
- Edge cases and customer drop-offs
- Identify gaps between business intent vs implementation
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Business teams
- Product managers
- Technology teams
- Act as a bridge between business and tech
Issue Identification & Improvement
- Identify usability gaps, broken journeys, and conversion blockers
- Provide actionable recommendations, not just defects
- Ensure faster closure of production issues
Key Expectations
- Think like a business user/customer, not just a tester
- Strong focus on conversion, journey completion, and usability
- Ability to question and improve requirements
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Digital insurance journeys (motor, health, etc.)
- Customer lifecycle (lead policy issuance servicing)
- Hands-on experience in:
- Functional testing
- UAT support
- API testing (basic understanding preferred)
- Familiarity with:
- Test management tools (JIRA, etc.)
- Web/mobile testing tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience & Qualification
- 45 years of experience in QA, preferably in Insurance domain
- Prior experience working in digital / web platforms is mandatory
- Understanding of insurance products (Motor/Health preferred)
