Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:
As a Senior Python Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
What Were Looking For:
- A strong backend engineer who can independently own features
- Someone who can balance code quality with delivery timelines
- A collaborative team player with good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Build and enhance core modules for marketplace and workflow engine functionalities
- Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs for frontend integration
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to align backend services with provided prototypes
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps
Requirements:
- 59 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework
- Solid understanding of REST API development and integration
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of software design principles and system architecture
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Understanding of performance optimization and caching techniques
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Desirable:
- Experience working on marketplace or e-commerce platforms
- Exposure to workflow engines or business process automation systems
- Familiarity with Docker / containerization
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)
