Job Description: Oracle Cloud ERP Manufacturing (MFG) Solution Architect (Practice & Product)

Role Overview:

This is a high-seniority Product Architect role within the Oracle Practice, designed for an expert who can deconstruct complex manufacturing challenges and rebuild them into working Oracle Cloud solutions. You are not a coordinator; you are a "Master Configurer" who owns the manufacturing sandbox, leads short-term strategic assessments, and builds functional Proof of Concepts (POCs) that solve real-world production and costing hurdles.

I. Core Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Solutioning: Conceptualize end-to-end production strategies, ranging from simple assembly to complex multi-stage manufacturing environments.
• Sandbox & Prototype Ownership: Take full ownership of the Manufacturing Sandbox. You will physically configure POCs for Discrete and Process Manufacturing, showcasing how the system handles BIP (Work in Process), BOMs, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Strategic Consulting Gigs: Lead independent 4–6 week "High-Value" engagements, such as:
• MFG Digital Blueprinting: Mapping legacy shop-floor processes to Oracle Modern Best Practices.
• Costing & Planning Assessments: Auditing current-state financial accuracy in manufacturing and proposing Cloud-based optimizations.
• Planning & Logistics Integration: Architect the flow between Demand & Supply Planning and the shop floor, ensuring production schedules align with inventory availability and WMS constraints.
• Customer Presentation: Prepare "Solution Pages" and architectural diagrams. Present convincingly to Plant Managers and COOs, demonstrating a deep "under-the-hood" knowledge of Costing and Work Order execution.
• Innovation Lab: Configure and showcase new agents and advanced features (such as IoT production monitoring or AI-driven supply chain planning) within the sandbox.

II. Domain Expertise

• Production Models: Deep expertise in both Discrete Manufacturing and Process Manufacturing (formulas, recipes, and co-products/by-products).
• Core Manufacturing Stack: Mastery of BOM (Bill of Materials), WIP (Work in Process), Engineering, and Quality Management.
• Cost Management: Expert-level understanding of Land Cost Management and Manufacturing Costing (Standard, Actual, and Perpetual).
• Supply Chain Planning: Proficiency in Demand Management, Supply Planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
• Logistics: Strong functional understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management) integration with production staging and pick-release.

III. Candidate Profile

• Experience: 12+ years in Oracle Manufacturing (EBS in early career + predominant Cloud), with a proven track record of solving complex costing and planning issues in Cloud.
• The "Architect" Mindset: Ability to navigate the Functional Setup Manager and configure complex production rules and planning parameters without assistance.
• Consulting Agility: Comfortable leading 4-week "Discovery" or "Migration Assessment" sprints for high-stakes clients.
• Analytical Depth: Able to explain the "Financial impact" of manufacturing transactions to a CFO while discussing "Shop floor efficiency" with an Operations Lead.

IV. What this role is NOT

• Not a Pre-sales coordinator (you aren't just "packaging" slides).
• Not a pure "Planner" (you must be able to configure the execution side as well).
• Not a 12-month delivery consultant (you move between high-value assessments and POCs).
