Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to lead endtoend performance testing initiatives across desktop applications and cloudbased platforms hosted on virtualized environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring scalability, stability, and superior enduser experience for CostX desktop and cloud solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong handson experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), GPUaccelerated workloads, and largescale CAD data performance, working closely with Development, QE, and Architecture teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities EndtoEnd Performance Testing

• Plan, execute, and deliver performance testing for desktop applications, web/cloud services, and VMhosted environments
• Perform load, stress, soak, and scalability testing to identify performance bottlenecks and capacity limits
• Collaborate with developers, QEs, and architects to validate performance before production releases
• Review performance outcomes at defined quality gates

AVD, VDI & GPU Performance

• Design and execute performance tests for applications running on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) / VDI
• Measure enduser experience metrics such as glasstoglass latency, input delay, FPS, and visual quality over RDP
• Monitor and analyze GPU performance, including utilization, VRAM, saturation, and contention in multisession VMs
• Validate smooth 3D rendering and interaction under normal and peak user loads
• Use headful VDI testing tools to simulate real user behavior

Database, API & Backend Performance

• Define and maintain performance KPIs (latency, TPS, concurrency limits)
• Profile backend APIs and services to identify performance risks
• Conduct advanced database profiling to detect inefficient or chatty queries
• Enable QE teams with baseline performance validation frameworks

LargeScale CAD Data & Storage Testing

• Test workflows involving large CAD files (1GB+), including open, save, sync, and export operations
• Benchmark storage platforms such as SharePoint and Azure Blob Storage
• Validate resilience under network interruptions, storage timeouts, and partial file synchronization failures

Reporting & Collaboration

• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
• Present performance findings clearly and effectively
• Promote performance testing best practices across teams
• Mentor junior Performance Test Engineers
• Maintain high standards for test assets, documentation, and reporting

Required Skills & Experience Core Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in performance, load, stress, and soak testing
• Strong understanding of STLC and Agile methodologies
• Proven experience delivering performance testing endtoend
• Experience working within a dedicated performance engineering team

Technical Expertise

• Performance testing tools: JMeter, Azure Load Testing, k6, LoadRunner, Visual Studio Load Testing
• Desktop, web, and cloud application performance testing
• Azure DevOps for test management and CI/CD integration
• Experience with AVD / VDI environments
• Understanding of GPUaccelerated workloads and virtualization
• Database profiling using SQL Server Profiler and PostgreSQL EXPLAIN / ANALYSE
• Testing applications handling large datasets and files

Communication

• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to explain complex performance issues to nontechnical audiences
• Datadriven decisionmaking and influence

Nice to Have

• Handson experience with Login Enterprise (Login VSI) or similar tools
• Experience benchmarking SharePoint API throttling vs Azure Blob Storage
• GPU telemetry analysis on Azure NVseries VMs
• ISTQB Performance Testing Certification
