Role & responsibilities
- 1. Payroll Processing
- Process monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time
- Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, incentives, and deductions
- Ensure proper calculation of salary, bonuses, reimbursements, and final settlements
- 2. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements such as:
- PF (Provident Fund)
- ESI (Employee State Insurance)
- TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)
- Professional Tax (if applicable)
- Timely filing of returns and payments to government authorities
- 3. Accounting & Reconciliation
- Pass payroll-related journal entries in ERP/accounting system
- Reconcile salary payable, provisions, and statutory ledgers
- Maintain proper records of payroll transactions for audit purposes
- 4. Employee Queries Handling
- Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, tax, and payslips
- Provide salary breakups and tax computation details when required
- 5. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare payroll reports, variance analysis, and MIS reports
- Support management with payroll cost analysis and budgeting inputs
- 6. Audit & Documentation
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll
- Maintain proper documentation and approvals for payroll processing
- 7. Final Settlement (F&F)
- Process full and final settlement of exiting employees
- Ensure recovery/deductions and compliance before settlement
Preferred candidate profile
4-8 years of experience in accounting and payroll
