Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our Corporate Legal team in a senior leadership role. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in corporate legal advisory, litigation management, contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal support for business operations.
The candidate will work closely with leadership teams, business stakeholders, external counsels, and regulatory authorities to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation across the organization.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Litigation & Dispute Management
* Handle and oversee civil, commercial, corporate, labor, and regulatory litigations.
* Coordinate with external counsels, law firms, and legal consultants for case management.
* Draft, review, and vet legal notices, replies, petitions, affidavits, and other legal documents.
* Track ongoing litigations and ensure timely updates to management.
Legal Advisory
* Provide strategic legal advice to internal business units and leadership teams.
* Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements impacting the organization.
* Support management on legal risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
* Advise stakeholders on corporate governance and legal implications of business decisions.
Contract Lifecycle Management
* Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements, vendor contracts, customer agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, SLAs, employment-related agreements, and other legal documents.
* Ensure legal safeguards and risk protection clauses are incorporated appropriately.
* Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle processes and maintain contract governance standards.
Compliance & Regulatory
* Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, labor, commercial, and industry-specific laws and regulations.
* Support statutory, regulatory, and internal audits from a legal perspective.
* Liaise with regulatory authorities and government bodies wherever required.
* Monitor changes in legal and regulatory frameworks and assess organizational impact.
Corporate & Business Support
* Support strategic business initiatives, partnerships, and corporate transactions from a legal standpoint.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, and Business teams on legal matters.
* Drive legal process improvements, policy governance, and documentation standards.
* Participate in internal committees and provide legal inputs on organizational policies.
Desired Candidate Profile
* Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
* Master’s Degree / Company Secretary qualification will be an added advantage.
* 15–20 years of relevant experience in corporate legal functions.
* Strong exposure to litigation handling, contract management, and legal advisory.
* Experience in IT / Payments / Banking / Financial Services industry preferred.
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong understanding of corporate laws, labor laws, and commercial regulations.
