Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Analyst Applications(Development Lead/Architect ) _to join our Applications Development & Intelligence Automation – CAT IT Division.

The incumbent would drive technical strategy, designs scalable software systems, and mentors engineering teams. They bridge high-level architecture with hands-on coding, ensuring code quality, security, and performance standards. Key responsibilities include creating technical blueprints, leading development, conducting code reviews, and aligning initiatives with business goals.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India

What You Will Do

• Architectural Design & Strategy: Define technical, security, and infrastructure standards, designing high-level, scalable solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Guide development teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), conducting code reviews and ensuring best practices.
• Mentorship: Mentor developers to enhance technical skills and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.
• Hands-on Development: Drive development of APIs, microservices, and core application components.
• Performance & Security: Optimize application performance and ensure system security compliance.
  
  

What You Will Have

• 8+ years in software development, with 5+ years in lead/architect roles
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in modern frameworks (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Python), Microservices, Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Database design.
• Leadership: Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Methodologies: Strong experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate technical visions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• The position requires the candidate to work a 5-a day -week schedule in the office

• Designs complex application architectures that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.

System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

• Designs and develops applications or technology interfaces and bridges.
• Documents existing best practices for system or technology integration processes.
• Identifies and quantifies risks of proposed alternatives to a system or technology integration initiative.
• Delivers training on major issues, interfaces, considerations and potential pitfalls and risks.
• Discusses with line areas on data, technology and application integration issues.
• Advises others in how to integrate projects across multiple technologies.
  
  

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Verifies the proper flow of transactions across all input, output and storage channels or devices.
• Evaluates interoperability of new systems with existing systems during the beta testing phase.
• Supervises the testing of complex, multi-platform and distributed applications.
• Designs processes to ensure that the system meets and maintains requirements and expectations.
• Coaches end users on the development of test data and test scenarios for system validation.
• Manages the execution of test plans, including resources, strategies, schedules, processes and tools.
  
  

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
