Job Description: Senior Executive – B2B Logistics
- Position Overview: Position Title: Senior Executive – B2B Logistics Department: Logistics Operations Reporting To: Assistant Manager – B2B Logistics Role Type: Individual Contributor focused on operational execution and timeline management. 2. Key Responsibilities & Goals: Primary objective is to maintain the health of the logistics pipeline by monitoring shipment ageing and ensuring compliance across all delivery legs.
Ageing Monitoring & Lead-Time Management: Shipment Ageing: Monitor and report on shipments sitting at hubs or in-transit beyond standard lead times (SLA). Pending PODs: Track the ageing of pending Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and follow up with carriers for immediate closure. Exception Tracking: Identify "stuck" shipments and escalate delays caused by regional constraints or capacity issues. SLA Compliance: Measure the time taken for pick-ups and deliveries against target KPIs.
Logistics Operations & Compliance: Documentation: Execute and verify legal compliance for all movements, including E-way bill Part B management. Daily Execution: Centrally manage the day-to-day productivity of the transport network to ensure no backlog. Vendor Coordination: Support monthly review meetings by providing data on carrier performance and delayed deliveries.
Process & Data Support: Data Analytics: Use a data-driven approach to deep dive into shipment delays and provide actionable insights to improve speed. Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain process that contribute to shipment ageing. Network Reporting: Provide real-time inputs regarding regional issues or trends affecting delivery timelines.
3. Candidate Profile:
Experience & Education: Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Logistics operations. Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech, B.Com, or BBA).
Essential Skills Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in IT systems, specifically Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to handle large datasets to track ageing and identify delays. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for constant coordination with carriers and internal teams. Mindset: High sense of accountability, ownership, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
