Job Description
We are looking for an experienced ETL/Data Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Big Data and cloud-based data validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ETL testing, SQL-based data validation, Python/PySpark automation, and GCP-based data platforms.
The role requires deep understanding of data quality engineering, large-scale data validation, and testing of cloud-based ETL pipelines.
Mandatory Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing / Data Quality Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL and large-scale data validation
- Experience with GCP services:
- BigQuery
- DataProc
- Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Strong Python and PySpark programming skills
- Experience validating ETL pipelines and large datasets
- Strong understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Hands-on experience in test planning, test strategy, and execution
- Experience with regression and end-to-end testing
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Great Expectations or Deequ
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of data governance and data lineage
- Experience working with distributed Big Data systems
Good To Have
- Automation framework development
- Performance testing exposure
- Experience with modern data quality tools
