Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Independently drive QA activities for the assigned scrum team.
- Collaborate closely with developers to identify, analyze, and resolve root causes of defects.
- Design, enhance, and improve the productivity and reliability of automation test scripts.
- Drive QA process improvements within the scrum team.
- Provide support during production incidents, including issue reproduction, analysis, and debugging.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members.
- Contribute to POCs and research initiatives as guided by Managers or Leads.
- Organize and facilitate requirement gathering and review workshops for medium to complex requirements.
Minimum Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the technology / QA stream
- Bachelor’s degree with exposure to enterprise-scale applications and Agile delivery models
Analytical Skills
- Guide junior team members on simple requirements.
- Review and challenge medium requirements.
- Analyze and challenge medium to complex requirements.
- Formalize requirements and establish traceability across core and dependent requirements.
- Prioritize requirements based on business value and impact.
- Reformulate requirements to clearly articulate business value.
- Compare similar requirements across domains, systems, or historical requests to challenge assumptions.
- Effectively adapts communication style across teams, cultures, and work structures.
- Clearly and politely communicates with internal customers and stakeholders.
- Articulates ambiguous situations, risks, challenges, and roadblocks in a clear and structured manner.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with minimal grammatical or pronunciation errors.
- Creates and delivers clear, organized presentations, especially in virtual team setups.
- Prior experience working with virtual / global teams is a plus.
- Prioritizes high-impact problems and drives solutions proactively.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and seeks inputs when appropriate.
- Identifies multiple solution approaches with contingency plans.
- Aligns decisions with organizational and departmental goals.
- Actively consults team members on shared decisions and values collective expertise.
- Open to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant technology experience in Quality Engineering.
- Strong understanding of manual testing, test design techniques, and defect management.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools. E.g. Playwright, Selenium etc.
- Deep expertise in own discipline with working knowledge of related domains.
- Independently solves complex QA problems with minimal guidance.
- Works effectively across distributed teams and multiple time zones.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to analyse business needs and validate solutions.
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, or development skills as required.
- Ability to review code and provide meaningful feedback/comments.
