We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as SAP Record to Report (Finance) – Subject Matter Expert, reporting to the R2R and Group Reporting - Business Process Owner, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our team and its’ growth

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial data collection, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and performing reconciliation of migrated balances and master data between legacy systems and SAP S/4HA
• Support Open Item migration validation including AR, AP, GL, Leases, Fixed Assets, Internal Projects and intercompany balance
• Support the accounting teams with master and transactional data mapping activities by providing direction and guidance
• Identify and manage risks related to data migration, consistency across templates, data readiness, and test-cycle execution, where data quality is critical to program success
• Serve as a key escalation point for data issues and assist with remediation
• Coordinate country-level activities, track delivery progress, and manage workload priorities across multiple market
• Serve as the SAP R2R Subject Matter Expert for finance processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, best practices, and the target operating mode
• Support the system integrator with SAP user training, testing and ensuring consistent process harmonization across global operations. Partner with stakeholders to identify pain points, align priorities, and implement fit-for-purpose SAP solutions that support operational and strategic goal
• Provide ongoing end-user support and resolve system or process-related issues in collaboration with functional and technical team
• Team player who ensures full adherence to program governance frameworks, maintaining process consistency, compliance, and control standards across the SAP program

Key requirements:

• Strong Finance and accounting background
• Strong Excel skills (data handling, reconciliation, templates usage) to support the high volume and ensure data quality)
• Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably S/4 HANA)
• Structured, detail-oriented, able to manage volume
• Strong coordination & follow-up skills
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and other stakeholders
• Experience in multi-country transformation / rollout
• Experience in similar role in similarly complex organisation
• SAP S4 Exposure, particularly on the Finance area (including Lease Management).
• Demonstrated academic and professional achievement, likely including a bachelor’s degree following and/or an accounting qualification
