Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes.
- Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Assesses quality performance using statistical and analytical methods. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment.
- Develops and establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, and quality performance trends. Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
- Assures the timely processing of nonconforming materials and assists in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations as a member of the Material Review Board.
- Responsible for leading quality escape Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Coordinates with customers and suppliers relating to quality performance, trends, and corrective action.
- May design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment and conduct quality assurance tests.
- Participates on product development teams to review engineering releases and changes, manufacturing methods, planning, and process specifications related to product quality.
- Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
- Refines and enhances processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and making recommendations.
- Provides information and develops corrective action measures by interfacing with customers and regulatory agencies and assisting in internal and external audits. May act as main contact in audit. Develops and coordinates corrective action procedures and plans.
- Analyze field and factory data feedback regarding customer complaints, requests, corrective action request or general correspondence and assists in implementing changes as required.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Focused on continuous improvement by monitoring trends and recommending solutions.
- Participates in quality presentations to company leadership as required.

- Participate in business system internal audits, external audits, customer audits, etc., follow-up for closure to planned schedules.
- Define the Calibration method for M&TE's for absence of standard calibration method.
- Monitor the Supplier Quality performance and Effective implementation of supplier improvement program.
- Other assignments or tasks as directed.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Have knowledge of Aerospace Standards and associated SAE and ASTM Standards
- Must have ability to deal with people at a cross-functional level. Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement principles and techniques to quality and manufacturing functions.
- Basic knowledge of statistical data tracking and Root Cause analysis.
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, as with a microscope.
Qualifications & Work Experience (Years)
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical) or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of related experience (Quality role preferred).
- American Society for Quality certification desired.
- Quality System Auditing (AS9100) training desired.
- Six Sigma and Lean tools experience desired.
Travel Requirement: Should be willing to travel abroad and within India as required by business based on project requirements
