Role Overview
The Jr. Project Manager will work closely with the Design Manager cum ProjectManager to support the end-to-end delivery of data center Design Services from Site Due Diligence, Master Planning, Concept Design, to Detailed Design up to IFC,ensuring smooth coordination, tracking, reporting, and execution across all disciplines.
This role is not administrative — it is an execution-focused role, acting as the operational backbone of the project, ensuring that deliverables, meetings, schedules, risks, and communications are continuously tracked and driven.
The Jr. Project Manager will play a key role in:
- Ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Driving day-to-day execution discipline
- Supporting client coordination and internal team alignment
Core Responsibilities
Project Execution Support – Data Center Design projects
- Support the Design/Project Manager in tracking all project deliverables across stages (Concept → SD → DD → IFC)
- Maintain and update:
- Deliverable trackers
- Design progress dashboards
- Discipline-wise status sheets
- Ensure timely follow-up with all disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, ELV, Architecture, Structural, Civil)
- Track submission dates vs planned schedule and highlight delays proactively
- You are the execution engine behind the Project Manager
Meeting Coordination & Action Tracking (CRITICAL)
Schedule and coordinate:
- Weekly Design Team Meetings (DTM)
- Internal coordination meetings
- Client review meetings
Prepare:
- Meeting agenda
- Detailed Minutes of Meeting (MoM)
- Track:
- Action items across all stakeholders
- Closure status and timelines
Ensure decisions are documented and executed
Client Coordination Support
Assist Project Manager in:
- Preparing client presentations
- Tracking client comments and responses
Maintain:
- Client communication logs
- RFI and query trackers
Ensure: Timely responses to client queries
Help maintain professional and responsive client engagement
Schedule & Planning Support
- Support preparation and maintenance of:
- Project schedule (MS Project / Excel)
- Look-ahead plans (weekly / fortnightly)
Track: Critical milestones Dependencies (inputs required from client or other teams)
- Highlight: Risks to schedule
- Delays and bottlenecks
- Become the early warning system for delays
Design Coordination Support
Assist in:
- Tracking inter-discipline coordination issues
- Monitoring clash resolution status (BIM coordination)
- Maintain logs for: Design issues
- BOD deviations
- Coordination conflicts
- Ensure integration across all systems
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain:
- Weekly Project Reports
- Progress dashboards
- Risk & issue logs
- Upload and manage documents on:
- Project platforms (ACC / BIM / document management systems)
- Ensure: Version control
- Proper documentation structure
Maintain project transparency and traceability
Risk & Issue Tracking
Maintain: Risk register/ Issue tracker/ Identify:
- Potential risks in delivery, coordination, or scope
- Escalate:
- Critical issues to Project Manager
- Support proactive problem management
Commercial & Resource Tracking Support
- Assist in:
- Tracking resource deployment vs plan
- Monitoring effort vs budget (basic level)
- Support:
- Invoice tracking
- Milestone tracking
- Help maintain project financial discipline (support level)
Construction Support Coordination (When Applicable)
Track:
- RFIs from site
- Design clarifications
- Ensure: Timely response from design teams
Maintain:
Support smooth transition from design to execution
Team Coordination & Support
- Act as a bridge between disciplines
- Follow up continuously with engineers and leads
- Support Project Manager in keeping team aligned
- Ensure no communication gaps within the team
Required Skills & Competencies
Project Coordination Skills
- Strong ability to:
- Track multiple tasks
- Follow up persistently
- Manage timelines
- Basic Technical Understanding (IMPORTANT)
Exposure to: HVAC / Electrical / Architecture / Structural basics
Ability to:
- Read drawings (basic level)
- Understand design stages
Not a designer—but must understand the flow of design
Tools & Systems
- MS Excel (advanced tracking)
- MS Project / Primavera (basic knowledge preferred)
- PowerPoint (for client reporting)
- BIM exposure (good to have)
Communication (CRITICAL)
- Clear and professional communication
Ability to:
- Follow up with senior engineers
- o Interact with client teams (with guidance)

Qualifications
- BE / BTech (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Architecture)
- 2–6 years experience in:
Design projects / project coordination / PMO role
Good to Have
- Experience in:
- Data centers / mission-critical projects
- Exposure to:
- BIM workflows
- Multidisciplinary coordination
This role is critical because:
- Data center projects are highly complex
- Failure usually happens due to poor coordination, not poor design
Therefore, the Jr. Project Manager ensures
