Job Description
Job Summary:
- Lead and guides functional excellence in engineering solution and provide knowledge base, services and technical understanding for the "Consumer Goods Industries" applications following the industry standards and its regulatory requirements.
- Manage all aspect of project life cycle from pre-sale proposal support, Engineering and site support following the scope.
- Can work independent and handle technical tasks and activity on HW/SW/HMI and any 3rd party interfaces as applicable in the projects.
- This may include travel for short or long-term work assignments within India or overseas for customer meetings, project training and site support.
- Organise and schedule job tasks with your team.
- Provide leadership to the assigned team and Improve Productivity.
- Manage team regarding people development and issue resolution.
- Manage Global partner including the regional solution teams and Global Programme Managers.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver and accomplish the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Take on challenging tasks and be a solution provider to internal and external stakeholders and industry team on solutions.
- Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team's capabilities.
- Lead technical implementation in whole life-cycle of project delivery.
- Collaborate and work with Technical Lead / SMEs to clarify technical issues and share workloads.
- Present solution to the partners and coordinate development tasks with team members.
- Work with PM for scope management, deliver execution plans and monitor the execution with good quality, cost effectiveness, customer acceptance and customer satisfaction.
- Work with Global Programme Managers and PM for WBS development.
- Develop quality process and ensure strict adherence.
- Work and guide the proposal team for support on estimation and proposal delivery.
- Ensure project implementation follows the procedure of SSB standard.
- Guide project cost reduction through process improvement, by applying and maximising reusable engineering standards in project delivery.
- Improve business growth and strengthen foot print of GEC as technology CoE.
- Work for optimising procurement processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Support in AOP planning.
- Ensure that you adequately document all audits (internal/external) and deal with risks promptly.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased engagement, seek feedback on deliverables and to improve overall engagement.
- Provide deliverables from the GEC that are delivered within good quality on time and on budget with high levels of Internal Customer Satisfaction.
- Manage use of all resources and ensure accurate capacity planning.
- Manage resources and to assign right skills to the work.
- Must have 5+ years of experience.
- Min 3-4 years of commissioning experience.
- Have exposure on applications in Life Science / Food & Beverages/ Consumer Goods Applications/ S88 standards/ Batch Process.
- High level of expertise in RA products such as Control Logix, FTView SE/ ME, ACM or GCM tool, GEMS or Process Objects, VFDs.
- Understanding of advanced solutions like Batch, Line performance, LBSM, Sequence Manager.
- Experience with Server Client architecture, Thin client and RDP.
- Experience with at least one third-party DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA systems each.
- Record of managing multiple and complex customer projects and a good understanding about Project Management.
- Major Commissioning Know-How experience and troubleshooting methods.
- Good experience on PlantPAx systems and functionalities including PlantPAx 5.0. Awareness of NextGen libraries would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of IT software platforms, prior hands-on experience with migrations, awareness of latest updates on upcoming automation technologies (Cloud solutions, IIoT) would be an added advantage.
- Recognised as a subject matter expert in Consumer Goods Industries Applications and lead the development of process improvements.
- Manage team performance to develop team capability and motivate the team. Create developmental plans for any identified gaps.
- Support best practice sharing and knowledge transfer among teams to improve competency of whole team.
- Assess and develop competency and capabilities among the team. Encourage multi-skilling within the team to ensure better use.
