Key Responsibilities

  • Understand, gather, and analyze business and technical requirements; ask relevant questions for clarity

  • Design and develop scalable software solutions using appropriate architecture, design patterns, and best practices

  • Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code following coding standards

  • Work on microservices-based architecture and distributed systems

  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of applications and databases

  • Develop and integrate messaging systems and orchestration workflows

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues; perform root cause analysis (RCA)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and product teams

  • Participate in Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines

  • Ensure proper configuration, release management, and change control

  • (For telecom-related roles) Work with network protocols and telecom systems where applicable

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong understanding of SDLC: requirement analysis, design, and development

  • Expertise in software/system architecture, design patterns, and anti-patterns

  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java / C / C++ / PHP

  • Experience with scripting languages: Python / Perl / Shell

  • Hands-on experience with message queues and orchestration tools

  • Experience with microservices architecture

  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning techniques

Desired Skills

  • Experience in database programming (DB tuning, indexing, keys, triggers)

  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases

  • Knowledge of configuration management, release management, and change control

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Sonar, Selenium, Sahi, build tools, security tools)

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in project management and stakeholder/customer management

  • Knowledge of telecom technologies:

    • GSM, 3G/4G/5G architectures

    • Protocols: SS7, SIGTRAN, IP, TCAP, SCCP, M3UA, SCTP, SMPP, DIAMETER, RADIUS

    • SIP/RTP, ISUP, MAP

    • VXML, CCXML
