Job Title: Power Automate Developer Robotics Process Automation (RPA)
Experience Required:
4-8 years of overall IT experience with 3-5+ years hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop) and RPA solutions
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Power Automate Developer specializing in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to design, develop, deploy, and support intelligent automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and COE teams to automate repetitive, rule-based business processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
RPA Development & Automation:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation workflows using:
- Power Automate Cloud flows
- Power Automate Desktop (PAD) for attended and unattended RPA
- Build end-to-end robotic automation solutions involving:
- Web automation
- Desktop application automation
- SAP / Citrix / Mainframe automation (as applicable)
- Implement exception handling, retry mechanisms, and robust logging.
- Optimize existing automations for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Business Analysis & Collaboration:
- Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into automation design documents (PDD, SDD).
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Process Owners, IT, and Security teams.
- Participate in solution design reviews and RPA feasibility assessments.
Integration & Platforms:
- Integrate Power Automate with:
- SharePoint
- Dynamics 365
- Microsoft Teams
- Outlook / Office 365
- Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault)
- Work with APIs, REST services, and connectors (standard & custom).
- Leverage AI Builder, OCR, and document processing where applicable.
Governance, Support & Maintenance:
- Follow Power Platform governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Support deployment through Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
- Monitor and maintain RPA bots, resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Document automation solutions and maintain reusable components.
Required Technical Skills:
Power Platform:
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Power Automate (Cloud Flows)
- Power Automate Desktop (Attended & Unattended Bots)
- Knowledge of Power Apps (Canvas apps preferred) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Dataverse.
RPA Concepts:
- Strong understanding of:
- RPA lifecycle
- Process assessment and automation suitability
- Exception handling and orchestration
- Experience building reusable components and libraries.
Scripting & Technical Skills:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
- Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript (preferred)
- SQL skills for data extraction and validation.
- Understanding of object-oriented and workflow-based automation concepts.
Enterprise Systems:
- Experience automating:
- SAP, Oracle, legacy desktop apps, web portals
- Exposure to Citrix/Virtual environments is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL500, PL900, PL400).
- Experience in an RPA COE (Center of Excellence) setup.
- Knowledge of alternative RPA tools (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) for comparative design.
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain technical automation concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior automation developers.
