FRS is part of the IT Group organization (ITG in Europe and ITO overseas) with a threefold sponsorship by ITG, Finance and RISK (CIB-ITO; RISK Solutions and ITG-FIT).

Position Purpose: Shared Data Ecosystem (SDE) is an ITG-FRESH department hosting various applications relating to the “filière unique program” in charge of collecting Accounting and Risk data from local entities in a unique stream through Universal Plug application.

BNP Paribas is looking for an experienced PL/SQL Expert Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex database applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases, performance tuning, and writing efficient PL/SQL code for enterprise-scale applications

The role will mainly focus on technical support along with an opportunity to contribute to project deliveries of in-scope applications. This role needs to ensure high availability of these applications, and it also demands strong coordination skills and commitment to production support service delivery.

The position will require high level of reactivity and reporting skills to follow the IT activities. The candidate will also use IT tools in the Devops toolchain and guarantee the high quality of development and compliance with IT Standards.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views
• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code performance and scalability
• Perform query tuning and execution plan analysis
• Develop and manage data models, indexes, and schemas
• Handle data migration, conversion, and integration tasks
• Work closely in a “one team” approach with all stakeholders, jointly providing high quality deliverables
• Participate in the testing phases (system, user acceptance, regression…) as required while coordinating with BA, and QA teams
• Write technical documentation and maintain coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues
• Provide support to operations from a technical perspective.
