Role/ Job Title: Operational Risk Analyst

Function/ Department: Risk

Job Purpose

Support the development, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the operational risk management strategy and frameworks at IDFC First Bank.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the implementation of operational risk management policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture and help integrate standardized operational risk management practices across the bank.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of operational risk systems, processes, and practices, incorporating international best practices, evolving regulatory standards, and aligning with the business environment.
  • Ensure preparation, dissemination, and follow-up and timely support in preparation for governance meetings like ORMC etc. and Management updates, as required.
  • Assist stakeholders in understanding the requirements related to internal/external audits, inspections, and RBI directives.
  • Enhance awareness and understanding of operational risk and compliance across the organization.
  • Ongoing monitoring of operational risk events, provisioning and reconciliation on periodic basis and ensuring the timely completion of preventive and corrective action.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data submissions for regulatory requirements, including RBI compliance, Basel III, ICAAP, and RBS tranche data.
  • Prepare and coordinate with stakeholders to publish quarterly operational risk profiles and scorecards, along with dashboards for various units and the bank.
  • Track and ensure the resolution of operational risk issues, including risk events, key risk indicators (KRIs), risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs), etc.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address and close RBI requirements and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Recommend and support process changes aimed at mitigating operational risk.
  • Stakeholder and project management capabilities.

Education Qualification

Graduation – Any graduation

Postgraduation - MBA /PGDM/CA

Experience: 2– 5 years of experience
