Key Responsibilities Objectives - Design and build backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, deployed on AWS and Kubernetes
- Implement event-driven workflows and real-time pipelines with Apache Kafka
- Contribute frontend features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript when needed
- Write secure, well-tested code across backend services and frontend components; participate in code reviews and pair programming
- Work in a modern Agile environment, delivering customer value with a regular cadence
- 4-year degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with a track record of delivering production-grade systems
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience building production microservices
- Hands-on Kafka experience: schema management, consumer group coordination, and integration patterns
- AWS and Kubernetes experience, including managed services such as RDS, S3, EKS, and Lambda
- Working knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript sufficient to contribute to frontend features
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with Git and modern branching/code review practices
- Familiarity with modern development practices: testing, code reviews, and framework/library usage
- Exposure to life sciences, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry environments is a plus
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to solve engineering problems
- Experience working across organizational and geographic boundaries
