- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, specifically within the chemical/manufacturing industry.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Advise senior management on legal risks and strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Handle litigation matters and liaise with external legal counsel as necessary.
- Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in regulations and ensure timely updates to company policies.
- Oversee internal investigations and ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and compliance concerns.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Legal and Compliance should have:
- A degree in Law from a recognised institution.
- Proven expertise in handling legal and compliance matters within the chemical/manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to ethical practices.
