6 years of experience in ERP / Enterprise Application Testing, with 4+ years leading QA for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)

Role Summary

The D365 F&O QA Lead is responsible for defining and executing the overall quality strategy for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations, upgrades, and rollouts. The role ensures functional correctness, integration stability, data accuracy, and release readiness across Finance and Supply Chain modules, while leading both manual and automation QA teams in Agile delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Leadership

• Define and own the QA strategy, test approach, and quality governance for D365 F&O programs
• Lead and mentor manual and automation QA teams; conduct reviews and quality audits
• Establish test standards, templates, and best practices aligned with ERP programs
  
  

Manual Testing - D365 F&O

• Plan and execute functional, SIT, UAT, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Validate end to end F&O business processes including:
• Finance: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting
• Supply Chain: Procurement, Inventory, Sales Orders, Master Planning
• WMS / TMS, Production, Project Operations (as applicable)
• Test workflows, batch jobs, security roles, financial dimensions, and controls
• Perform integration testing with CRM, Power Platform, SAP/JDE, WMS, logistics, and external systems
  

Automation Testing

• Define automation strategy for D365 F&O regression and critical flows
• Automate scenarios using tools such as RSAT, Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent ERP automation frameworks
• Implement data driven and batch oriented automation for finance and SCM scenarios
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  
  

Data Migration & Validation

• Lead data migration testing and reconciliation activities
• Validate opening balances, transactional data, master data, and historical data
• Execute cutover, mock runs, and go live validation
  
  

Test Management & Defect Governance

• Own test plans, test cases, RTM, execution metrics, and release sign off
• Drive defect triage, prioritization, and resolution with functional and technical teams
• Use Azure DevOps / JIRA for test and defect management
  
  

Agile & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, PI planning, and retrospectives
• Work closely with F&O functional consultants, architects, PMs, and business SMEs
• Provide quality dashboards, risk assessments, and go live recommendations
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in D365 Finance & Operations QA
• ERP testing across Finance and Supply Chain modules
• Manual testing of end to end business processes (O2C, P2P, R2R)
• Automation exposure using RSAT or Selenium based tools
• SQL for data validation and reconciliation
• Test & defect management using Azure DevOps / JIRA
