About the Role
As a Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning and execution, leading teams, managing stakeholder communication, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Execute projects according to the project plan, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross functional and technical teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular team meetings, provide guidance, and address any challenges that may arise during project execution.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold quality assurance standards for all project deliverables. Conduct thorough reviews of project outputs to ensure they meet established criteria.
- Resource Management: Optimize the allocation of resources, both human and technological, to maximize efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with the team to identify resource needs and secure necessary support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments. Ensure that project documentation complies with organizational standards.
- Experience working with Matrix organization with successful cross team collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Required Skills
- Experience in delivering Banking, Finance, Lending Solution implementation projects in India and Asia region.
- Proven track record of successful delivery while maintaining economics, relations and stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile practices.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. This should include the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, present to senior management, and negotiate with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable. (Not mandatory)
- Agile or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
