Job Description: Ad Operations Manager
Experience:
8-10 years of experience in Digital Ad Operations within a publisher or media organization.
Hands-on experience managing all types of display and content campaigns.
Role Objective:
The Digital Ad Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution, optimization, and delivery of all digital advertising campaigns for the publisher's sales team. This includes standard display, programmatic direct sold campaigns, video, rich media, and native/content-led advertising campaigns across web, mobile web, AMP, and app platforms.
The role acts as the bridge between Sales, Editorial, Tech, Product, and external partners, ensuring that every campaign is launched accurately, delivered efficiently, optimized for performance, and reported transparently—while adhering to brand safety and editorial guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Ad Operations team responsible for end-to-end execution of all digital advertising, programmatic, and native/branded content campaigns.
- Oversee accurate campaign setup, trafficking, targeting, pacing, and delivery across ad servers and native platforms, ensuring optimum fulfilment on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure correct implementation of creatives, trackers, third-party tags, measurement pixels, and compliance with approved IOs and proposals.
- Act as the escalation point for troubleshooting delivery, performance, or technical issues across Google Ad Manager and related platforms.
- Collaborate with Product and Tech teams on new ad formats, inventory launches, ad quality, latency reduction, and user experience improvements.
- Ensure timely and accurate campaign reporting (daily, mid-flight, post-campaign) and provide actionable performance insights to Sales and clients.
- Own coordination with Sales and commercial teams for monthly billing, revenue reconciliation, and audit readiness.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to validate proposal feasibility, recommend inventory and targeting solutions, and support pre-sales discussions.
- Train and enable Sales teams on ad formats, native capabilities, and measurement frameworks.
- Ensure strict adherence to brand safety, editorial standards, platform policies, and privacy regulations.
- Establish best practices, SLAs, and processes to maintain high delivery quality, minimal make-goods, and strong team accountability.
Technical & Platform Skills:
- Strong expertise in Google Ad Manager
- Deal set-ups and optimizations
- Third-party trackers and verification tools
- Strong understanding of Ad formats, targeting, and measurement in Web, mobile web, AMP, and app environments
Analytical & Operational Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret performance data and convert it into actionable insights
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
