Title: Pre-Sales- Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager

About the role:

The Pre-Sales KAM will be responsible for generating qualified leads for Paytm Payment Gateway from a targeted merchant universe and supporting the sales team in converting these opportunities into active merchants. The role requires identifying the right decision makers, positioning Paytm's payment capabilities, and driving early stage engagement before handing over opportunities for closure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation Prospecting
    • Build and work on a targeted merchant list across priority sectors to generate Payment Gateway leads. Identify and connect with decision makers such as Founders, CFOs, CTOs, and Payments/Partnership teams.
    • Initiate outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and industry networks to create new opportunities.
    • Qualify merchant requirements and convert them into sales-ready PG leads.
  • Merchant Engagement Solution Pitching
    • Present Paytm's Payment Gateway capabilities, checkout solutions, and payment modes to prospective merchants.
    • Conduct product demos and capability walkthroughs for merchant business and tech teams by taking help from Paytm product team.
    • Understand merchant payment flows and recommend relevant Paytm payment solutions.
  • Sales Support Conversion
    • Work closely with the New Acquisition / Sales team to support merchant pitches and deal discussions.
    • Share structured merchant insights to help accelerate conversion.
  • Integration Solutioning Support
    • Explain PG integration process, APIs, SDKs, and checkout flows to merchant technical teams.
    • Coordinate with product, tech, and onboarding teams during the pre-integration stage.
