Role Description

We are seeking an experienced IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Developer with around 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining business process management solutions. The candidate will be responsible for implementing workflow applications, integrating systems, and ensuring high performance and scalability of business processes

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Design and develop workflow applications using IBM BAW for insurance business processes.
• Implement workflows related to Policy administration (endorsements, renewals)
• Implement insurance business requirements into BPM solutions.
• Develop Business Process Definitions (BPDs), Integration Services, Integrate BAW applications with insurance core systems such as Policy Administration Systems (PAS)
• Implement APIs (REST/SOAP) and messaging (MQ/JMS) for seamless data exchange.
• Handle process exceptions, SLA tracking, and escalations using BAW capabilities.
• Monitor and enhance performance of workflows for high-volume insurance transactions.
• Collaborate with Business analysts and QA teams
• Support production releases and resolve application issues.

Key Competencies & Skills required

Technical Skills:

• Handson experience in IBM BAW / IBM BPM development.
• Strong knowledge of Process modeling and BPMN.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript for client-side and BAW scripting
• Experience in integration services (REST/SOAP).
• Good understanding of: Java/J2EE concepts, SQL and database design
• Experience working with Process Center and Process Server environments.
• Familiarity with using Process Inspector for analysis.
• Knowledge of deployment, versioning, and process lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with debugging tools.

Nice to have:

• Updated on latest insurance market trends and the relevant business processes. Assess the impact of market development on requirements engineering.
• Shows a clear view on future customer needs and translates and implements customer demands into respective IT requirements

Previous Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualification:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Certification if any:

IBM Certified BPM/BAW Developer

Years Experience & Knowledge:

• 3+ years of experience with Java development and IBM BAW Tool.
• Good analysing skills.
• Good understanding of processes and structures.
• Urge to understand what the systems are meant for and how critical the correctness of the numbers
• Understanding the structure of requirements and what is needed for developers to know what the business needs
