About this Role

The Business Consultant role sits within VOIS Business Operations and Transformation, specifically in the Business Excellence team. This team is composed of high-performing professionals who bring differentiated expertise in process engineering, digital transformation, and operational excellence. In this role, the individual will support business leaders in defining and delivering structured change that enhances operational performance and improves customer outcomes. The position focuses on leading diagnostics, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating business needs into clear, actionable roadmaps and requirements.

You bring experience in operational excellence or transformation roles and are comfortable working across business and technology teams. You communicate clearly, facilitate collaboration effectively, and are able to influence stakeholders using evidence-based insights. You take ownership of deliverables, demonstrate sound judgement, and approach challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement and adaptability.


What you will do

  • Lead structured discovery sessions to define business problems, identify root causes, quantify impact, and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Design target processes and develop pragmatic roadmaps aligned with strategic priorities, delivery constraints, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build robust business cases and options assessments covering value, cost, risks, dependencies, and feasibility.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to build alignment, support decision-making, and manage trade-offs.
  • Define benefit measures and tracking approaches; support performance reporting and value assurance post implementation.
  • Partner with programme and delivery teams to translate business intent into executable requirements and delivery plans.
  • Provide concise insights and recommendations to governance forums, enabling effective risk management and timely decisions.
  • Contribute to capability development through knowledge sharing, standardisation, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Structured discovery and diagnostic techniques (problem definition, root cause analysis, impact quantification)
  • Business process optimisation and end-to-end process design
  • Operating model and target state design (roles, governance, controls, ways of working)
  • Business case development (value, cost, risks, dependencies, feasibility, investment trade-offs)
  • Benefits realisation and performance measurement (KPIs, baselines, value tracking)
  • Change impact assessment and adoption planning
  • Continuous improvement and quality management (Lean, standardisation, controls)
  • Automation and digital opportunity evaluation (workflow/RPA, process mining insights)
  • Governance insights and decision support (options, recommendations, risk assessment)
  • Service performance management (SLAs, OLAs, KPIs) and operational readiness
  • Requirements and value definition (user stories, acceptance criteria, outcome measures)
  • Stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams

Experience

  • 58 years’ experience in consulting, operational excellence, transformation, or business change roles
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end process improvement, business case development, and stakeholder facilitation
  • Exposure to telecommunications or shared services environments is advantageous

Preferred Tools & Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent (desirable)
  • Prosci® Change Management or equivalent (desirable)
  • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Exposure to process mining and automation tools (e.g. Celonis, UiPath, Automation Anywhere)
