Job Title: Engineer Mold Maintenance

Qualification: Diploma in Tool & Die Making
GTTC / NTTF Tool & Die Making candidates preferred

Experience:
4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Injection Mold Maintenance

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection molds to ensure maximum uptime and consistent quality.
• Diagnose and rectify mold-related issues such as flash, short shots, flow marks, and dimensional deviations.
• Carry out mold assembly, disassembly, cleaning, polishing, and replacement of worn-out components.
• Maintain hot runner and cold runner systems, including heaters, thermocouples, and manifolds.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams during mold trials, new mold sampling, and process optimization.
• Analyze root cause of mold failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure proper documentation of mold maintenance history, spare parts usage, and maintenance schedules.
• Support new mold commissioning, trials, and handover to production.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, 5S, and TPM practices in the mold maintenance area.
• Train and guide junior technicians and tool room associates.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of injection mold construction, tooling materials, and maintenance practices.
• Hands-on experience with precision machining, fitting, and polishing.
• Ability to read and interpret mold drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with hot runner systems (e.g., Husky, Yudo, Mold-Masters – preferred).
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
